Uldyr

Uldyr was the rainy season on the planet Socorro. Although clouds were a rarity on the desert planet, once or twice a decade enough moisture built up in the atmosphere to trigger several weeks of rain. Uldyr was an Olys Corellisi term translating to "mucking out."

During uldyr, the deserts of Socorro became quagmires and filled with quicksand pits. Residents of the planet moved to the highland areas and stay inside as much as possible to remain safe. Once the rain clouds cleared, the presence of Sokor, the system's sun, dried the surface of the planet in twenty-four standard hours. The season triggered the growth cycle for the Zsajhira plant that lasted for several years.
