A standard decade (or simply called a decade) was a unit of time that was used by the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire, the New Republic and the Galactic Alliance. Based on the Galactic Standard Calendar, which was itself based upon the revolution and orbit of the world of Coruscant, it comprised ten standard years.
