Sixty Hour War

The Sixty Hour War was a battle fought at Derilyn in the early years of the Galactic Civil War. Following the establishment of the Galactic Empire, Derilyn was outraged by Palpatine's actions, and Senator Wuxod made their position clear. Wuxod subsequently disappeared; on the first day of Fifthmonth, the Empire invaded Derilyn.[1]

Six Imperial Star Destroyers, TIE wings, and a sector army attacked the planet; orbital bombardment destroyed the city of Paran. The Derilytes resisted, and the battle lasted for three days.[1]

Following the subjugation of Derilyn, rebellious worlds in the Elrood sector surrendered to the Empire. After the destruction of Paran, a Derilyte resistance group known as the Friends of Paran was established.[1]
