Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

The destruction of the city of Paran on the planet Derilyn was a military operation conducted by the Galactic Empire. After protests encouraged by Senator Wuxod, the Empire dispatched a fleet of Star Destroyers to Derilyn. They conducted an orbital bombardment of the city, levelling it completing and killing over 500,000 people. After the destruction, a resistance group known as the Friends of Paran was established.^[1]
