Paran

Paran was the third largest city on the planet Derilyn. Prior to the rise of the Galactic Empire, the city boasted a sizable population of over half a million citizens. When the planet was invaded by Imperial forces, the city was bombarded and completely destroyed by turbolaser fire from six orbiting Star Destroyers. Virtually the entire population was killed in the assault and aftermath.
