Virgillian Council
The Virgillian Council was the government of the Virgillia system established after the end of the Virgillian Civil War,[1] shortly before the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY.[2] Its formation was part of the truce established between the Virgillian Free Alignment and the Aristocracy, the two opposing sides of the civil war, after the Free Alignment's victory.[1]
The Council ordered two of the Virgillian Free Alignment Starfleet's modified Quasar Fire-class bulk cruisers to join the Alliance Fleet. The Virgillian fleet was sent to the Sullust system, where the Alliance Fleet was rendezvousing for a battle in the Endor system. After Endor, the ships followed the rest of the Alliance fleet to investigate an incident in the Bakura system. The Council also ordered one of the Free Alignment's bulk cruisers to remain in the Virgillia system in case of retaliatory Imperial attacks on Free Alignment military bases.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Virgillian Council was first mentioned in The Truce at Bakura Sourcebook, a roleplaying guide published in 1996 by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The book was written by Kathy Tyers and Eric S. Trautmann.[1]
