The Taanab operation was a hit-and-fade attack carried out in 9 ABY, during the Thrawn campaign, by the forces of Grand Admiral Thrawn against the planet Taanab. During the attack, the Dark Jedi Joruus C'baoth took control of the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Bellicose and used the ship's turbolasers to destroy a New Republic ship against the orders of Captain Aban.
