Sevarcos system
The Sevarcos system was located within the Tamarin sector in the Outer Rim Territories region of the galaxy.
Description
The Sevarcos system was a star system consisting of the orange sun Lumea and twelve planets, four of which were solid. Only one was inhabitable—Sevarcos II which was primarily a spice mining colony. Between the sixth and seventh planetary orbits was an asteroid belt, which was believed to be the remains of a thirteenth planet.
History
During the era of the Galactic Empire, the system was highly restricted, as the Empire sought to control the spice extraction and trade completely. Entrance into the system was not allowed unless one held Imperial entrance, landing, and exit permit, and trade was authorized only via invitation. Access to all planets, except Sevarcos II, was forbidden.
The traffic in the entire system was closely monitored via perimeter sensor satellites, customs cutters, cruisers and frigates, as well as a force of Victory-class Star Destroyers, TIE/LN starfighters and various smaller assault vehicles. A chain of beacons and navigation buoys facilitated navigation through the asteroid belt, which was heavily patrolled by squadrons of TIE interceptors and Skipray blastboats.
