Senior Lieutenant was a position in the military forces of the Galactic Empire.

This line rank was used by the Imperial Navy and one of the four ranks that together encompass the overall position of Lieutenant. It ranked above Junior Lieutenant, and below Junior Commander. The rank was the equivalent of Imperial Army Captain and Starfighter Corps Flight Captain.

In 6 BBY, this was the rank held by Brandei as an officer aboard the Star Destroyer Judicator. Shortly before the Battle of Nar Shaddaa, Kern Fallon of the Imperial Navy held this rank. Another Senior Lieutenant was Star Destroyer officer Leeds.
