Riptide was an Imperial Nebulon-B frigate. Riptide, along with her sister ship Havok attempted to destroy the Rebel Alliance cruiser Independence during negotiations with the Habassa delegates. Riptide and Havok were destroyed on that attempt by combined efforts of the Birkby group of CR90 corvettes and Rebel starfighters.
