"Deal." - ―Arla Fett and Bardan Jusik
A persistent vegetative state was a condition of patients with severe brain damage in whom coma has progressed to a state of wakefulness without detectable awareness. A good example of this is the case of Tay Vanis, a rebel who, after being tortured by Darth Vader, was left in a vegetative state of mentality.
