A coma was a debilitating effect on beings that completely disabled them and left them in a completely unconscious, near-death state. A person in a coma was described as comatose. Comas could be triggered by severe injury, toxins or drugs, or could be intentionally entered by certain species, such as the Gand,[1] and by certain Jedi. Moonglow was known to produce a hallucinatory coma followed by death.
