Kessel sector/Legends

The Kessel sector was a sector located in the Outer Rim Territories. It contained the Kessel system.[3]
Behind the scenes

The Kessel system was first mentioned in The Hutt Gambit, written by A. C. Crispin (1997). Shortly after this publication, the computer game Star Wars: Rebellion (1998) placed Kessel in the Calaron sector. Rebellion made a number of arbitrary placements of planets for game-play purposes; consequently, Leland Chee, Keeper of the Holocron, has stated that when its placements conflict with existing canon placements, they are overridden.[7] Its placement of Kessel is one such example to which this ruling applies.

Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion on StarWars.com (article) (backup link not verified!) places the Kessel Run in the Kessel sector. As Fly Casual establishes Oba Diah as a location on the Kessel Run, it can be assumed that Oba Diah is located in the Kessel sector.
