Kessel revolts
The Kessel revolts were a series of revolts that took place on Kessel during the Imperial Period.
History
The Kessel revolts were instigated by Salis Kabor, a Lorrdian revolutionary who dedicated his life to fighting slavery.[3]
During one of these revolts, Trioculus, the Supreme Slavelord of the spice mines of Kessel, used a turbolaser to annihilate thousands of protesting slaves.[1]
Aftermath
In 0 ABY, some time after the execution of Kabor, the Kessel revolts were commemorated with a memorial in the Crypt of Martyrs on the planet Lorrd.[3]
In 5 ABY, Trioculus recounted the slave rebellion on Kessel to Grand Moff Bertroff Hissa.[1]
Behind the scenes
According to Adrick Tolliver, author of Death in the Slave Pits of Lorrd, the Kessel revolts are intended to be those referenced in Queen of the Empire, a 1993 book written by Paul and Hollace Davids.[4]
