Gold Three was the call sign of the third member of Gold Squadron. There were several starfighter squadrons with this name, and multiple pilots went by the call sign Gold Three.
History
Rebel Alliance BTL Y-wing starfighter pilot Ryle Torsyn used the call sign Gold Three when he flew with Gold Squadron during the Battle of Yavin.[1] Along with the rest of Gold Squadron, save Keyan Farlander, Torsyn was killed in the assault against the first Death Star.[3]
During a simulation exercise to qualify for Wedge Antilles's new squadron, New Republic Gamorrean pilot Voort saBinring used the callsign of Gold Three.[2]
