Dune worms were dangerous worms that inhabited the Dune Sea of the desert planet Tatooine, though they were rumored to also call the rocky Jundland Wastes home. With skin the color of sand, they had enormous crystalline teeth and small beady eyes, and were attracted to movement. A young dune worm ten feet in length was considered small. The feeling of being caught in a sandstorm was sometimes compared to the bite of a dune worm. A few weeks after the Battle of Yavin, a bounty hunter was confronted by a young dune worm while searching for Han Solo.[1]
