D-127X
D-127X was a Alliance to Restore the Republic probe droid during the Galactic Civil War. Deployed to the Oplovis sector to secretly monitor communications and data flowing over Imperial networks in the sector, it was specifically tasked with gathering intelligence on the Oplovis Sector Fleet. While on patrol, D-127X was spotted by an Imperial picket ship. After firing off its messenger droids and sending them back to the Atrivis Sector Force, D-127X wiped its memory core and self-destructed.
Mon Mothma mentioned the droid's self-sacrifice in her document A Call to Reason, crediting it for saving Mantooine from a potential Imperial attack. She also mentioned it as an example that even Probe droids, generally considered less sophisticated, can display some latitude.
