Compressed air launcher

A compressed air launcher was a feature of some R2-series astromech droids. R2-D2 possessed one, with was capable of launching either flares or Luke Skywalker's lightsaber. R2-D2 used it to conceal and later deploy Skywalker's lightsaber during his mission to rescue Han Solo and the subsequent battle at the Great Pit of Carkoon.
