Chrellis
Chrellis was a tiny planetoid located in the Chrellis system,[3] a part of the Lahara sector[1] in the New Territories portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] Following the foundation of the Rebel Alliance[3] in 2 BBY,[6] the first base of the Alliance High Command,[3] named Chrellis Base,[4] was established on the planetoid[3] under the command of the Human General Jan Dodonna.[5]
When the Galactic Empire reallocated its sector fleets, Chrellis Base became uncomfortably close to Imperial Navy activity.[4] The base, which had been designed for continual relocation,[3] was then moved to the Tion Cluster[4] planet[7] Brigia.[4]
Behind the scenes
Chrellis was first mentioned in The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook, which was authored by Paul Murphy and published in 1990 for use with West End Games's Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[8] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Chrellis system, and therefore Chrellis itself, in grid square M-5.[2]
