A Rancor Comes to Tatooine

A Rancor Comes to Tatooine is a short narrative story published in The Star Wars Sourcebook in 1987. It recounts the tale of how Jabba the Hutt acquired his rancor. It was reprinted in the second edition of the book in 1994.

Plot summary

Bidlo Kwerve, looking for ways to improve his position in Jabba the Hutt's organization, finds him the perfect gift. However, his plan to impress Jabba does not go quite as Kwerve expects.
