Breta Yaga
- "A few chambers did have some examples of alien artwork—notably some flatsculps from Breta Yaga and a dancer-sculp from Galloa II—although they were not as prominently displayed as the other artwork."
- ―Voren Na'al
Breta Yaga was an astronomical object[2] located within the Breta Yaga system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Mieru'kar sector.[1] Several art pieces called flatsculps that were produced by a non-Human species originated on Breta Yaga. The flatsculps were stored in the Mount Tantiss complex on the[2] Ojoster sector[3] planet Wayland by the time of the facility's destruction[2] in 9 ABY.[4] The New Republic historian Voren Na'al later mentioned Breta Yaga in his journal.[2]
Behind the scenes
Breta Yaga was first mentioned in "Field Report," a short segment written from an in-universe perspective that was published as part of the 1994 sourcebook The Last Command Sourcebook, authored by Eric Trautmann for the West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Breta Yaga system, and therefore the celestial body Breta Yaga, within grid square O-3.[5]
