Vel Terno
Vel Terno was a male colonel in the Galactic Empire's navy, and served as the fighter wing commander for the SilverWing and GoldWing TIE Series starfighter squadrons[1] in 0 ABY.[2] He demanded perfection from his pilots, always drilling them, and maintained a patrol around the Imperial Bavos-I military space platform Station 2LC/Blue, located near the planet Rhinnal in the Darpa sector. Because of his leadership, any starship that approached the space station was met with capable starfighters. Terno was an ace fighter pilot, and had achieved fifteen combat kills. Terno wore a flight suit and was equipped with a blaster.[1]
Behind the scenes
Vel Terno was mentioned in 1998's The Far Orbit Project, by Timothy S. O'Brien. The book was a supplement to West End Games's Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and was a sequel of sorts to[1] the previous publication Pirates & Privateers, carrying on that book's theme by following the privateering vessel Far Orbit.[3]
