Stalwart was a Victory I-class Star Destroyer commanded by Commander Maloc and used by then-Vice Admiral Thrawn as his flagship approximately one year before the Battle of Endor.

History

The Stalwart over NL-1.

From the bridge of the Stalwart, Thrawn supervised the construction of the space station NL-1 in the Pakuuni system during the Battle on the Frontier. It would also serve as the base-of-operations for actions against the Pakuuni Pirates and Rebels who threatened the station, success in no small part due to the actions of ace pilot Maarek Stele.

Following the completion of NL-1, the elimination of the Pakuuni Pirates, Thrawn changed his flag from the Stalwart to the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Vanguard.

Behind the scenes

The novel The New Jedi Order: Force Heretic I: Remnant cites a "Star Destroyer" by the name Stalwart participating at the Battle of Borosk in 28 ABY, leading one of four battlegroups in the planet's defense. The novel is unclear as to class of this particular Stalwart, but it is more than likely an Imperial-class Star Destroyer of the same name.
