The Pakuuni system was a star system located within the Pakuuni sector in the Outer Rim region of the galaxy which contained the planet of Pakuuni. It was near the Newland system.
History
The Pakuuni system was a major haven for both pirates and smugglers around at the time of the Battle of Hoth, which caused galactic trade there to be difficult; some would say dangerous at best. Vice Admiral Thrawn, however, set up a new installation there, from which he restored order to the system. Attempts on the part of both the Rebels and Pakuuni Pirates to stop Thrawn from building the new base failed.[3]
