Sooma

Sooma was a planet of grassy plains and an oxygen-filled atmosphere. It was homeworld to the Soomans.

The droids C-3PO and R2-D2 were dispatched to Sooma as diplomatic couriers in the decade prior to the Battle of Yavin. Around ten months after the Emperor's defeat at the Battle of Endor, Sooma was attacked by the Stenax in the conflict known as the Stenax Massacres.

Behind the scenes

Sooma first appeared in Droids (1986) 4, the fourth issue of the Star Wars Droids comic series published by Star Comics, an imprint of Marvel Comics, which was first published on October 1, 1986.
