This article is about an Easter egg.

This article covers a subject that was included as an Easter egg in a Star Wars Legends source and may not have been considered canon within the Legends continuity.

The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

Santa Claus was a festively dressed, probable member of the Rebel Alliance stationed on the cruiser Independence.[1] A member of the same species as the Jedi Master Yoda was known to have donned regalia similar to Claus's distinctive outfit on at least one occasion.[2]

In 3963 BBY, Santa or a being dressed as him was located at Goodvalor's Little Bivoli.[3] By the Galactic Civil War, Santa had joined the Rebel Alliance.[1]

Behind the scenes

Santa Claus first appeared as an easter egg in the 1993 Star Wars: X-Wing computer game.[1] In real life, Santa Claus is a Christmas legend, said to bring gifts to children on Christmas Eve.[4] In Star Wars: X-Wing, when the date is set to December 25—the date of Christmas—in the Collector's CD-ROM version, Santa Claus appears on the Independence concourse menu.[1]

In LEGO Star Wars II, entering the codes "CL4U5H" and "TYH319" at the Mos Eisley Cantina and activating Disguise 3 in the Extras menu allows you to create a Santa-like character in the character customizer.[5] This character is identified as Santa Claus in a StarWars.com news item. According to the news item, "Santa Claus is a Jedi Knight whose amazing Force powers allow him to pull off such spectacular feats."[6]

In 2006, a limited-edition figurine was issued of Yoda dressed in a Santa suit with a sack of toys.

Claus' son, "S. Claus," appears at the end of the album Christmas in the Stars.[7]

A number of LEGO sets in the "Star Wars Advent Calendar" line have popular characters dressed as Santa Claus[8][9][10] including but not limited to: Darth Maul,[9] BB-8,[11] Darth Vader,[12] and Yoda.[8]
