Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

The inducer was an interrogation and torture device used by the Empire. It was a more advanced version of the scan grid that had been used by Darth Vader to torture Han Solo and by Lieutenant Zuud to torture Jorin Sol. It triggered the subject's pain receptors at random intervals, which would cause them to experience the sensation of being frozen and burned at the same time.

During Corran Horn's imprisonment on Lusankya, he was subjected to the tortures of the Inducer by Ysanne Isard.
