The Drammel was an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate in service to the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War.
Description
The Drammel was a Kuat Drive Yards[1] EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate.[2] 300 meters in length, the Drammel was armed with twelve turbolaser batteries, twelve laser cannons, and two tractor beam projectors. 854 crew operated the ship, with sixty-six gunners manning the vessel's armaments; however, if necessary, a skeleton crew of 307 alongside ten gunners could run the ship. The Drammel was equipped with sensors, deflector shields and a navigation computer, and was capable of faster-than-light travel utilizing a Class 2 hyperdrive, with a Class 12 backup unit. Capable of traveling at speeds of 800 kilometers an hour in atmosphere, the Drammel could carry consumables to last two years, and had storage space for 6,000 metric tons. Seventy-five soldiers could also be billeted aboard.[1]
History
The Drammel served the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War, and was part of the forces stationed in the Trax sector.[2] Around 0 ABY,[3] it was part of a convoy of ships attacked by an Alliance to Restore the Republic fleet in the Bissillirus system.[2]
