Byrothsis
Byrothsis was a substance used to create lenses for infrared cameras and lightsabers.[1] Natural byrothsis was extremely rare and expensive, but Synthetic byrothsis was developed by ResSystem, creating a new industry based on applications of byrothsis. Several technological designs based on the use of byrothsis were condemned to the drawing boards for years until a cheap production method could be found; one the designs to utilize the synthetic byrothsis was the Imperial heat sensor trip.[2]
