A slug was a slow-moving creature. Han Solo once compared Imperial cruisers to slugs while boasting of his ship's speed.[1]
A species of slug was native to Nim Drovis, where they were farmed by members of the Gopso'o tribe in ranches.[2] Slugs were also farmed by the Chadra-Fan of Chad, who raised them to feed herd animals.[3]
