He died in [[12 ABY/Legends|12 ABY]] when his [[RZ-1 A-wing interceptor/Legends|A-wing]] hit an [[Asteroid/Legends|asteroid]] in the [[Hoth asteroid field]] en route to confirm [[New Republic/Legends|New Republic]] suspicions on the underhanded schemes of [[Hutt/Legends|Hutt]] gangster [[Durga Besadii Tai]].
