==Behind the scenes==
The Gunnery division was introduced in [[1994]]'s [[Imperial Sourcebook (Second Edition)|second edition]] of the ''[[Imperial Sourcebook]]''. Originally, the [[Imperial Sourcebook|first edition]] of the sourcebook, released in [[1989]], assigned use of the Navy's weapons to the [[Ordnance]] division. The second edition however, reassigned that function to a newly-created division, Gunnery, with Ordnance now being responsible for supply and maintenance of the weapons.
