Shortly before the completion of the [[DS-1 Orbital Battle Station/Legends|Death Star I]], the ''Godar'' collected some members of [[Bevel Lemelisk]]'s design team from a meeting with [[Grand Moff/Legends|Grand Moff]] [[Wilhuff Tarkin/Legends|Wilhuff Tarkin]] on [[Coruscant/Legends|Coruscant]] and was due to transfer them to the [[Imperial-class Star Destroyer/Legends|''Imperial''-class Star Destroyer]] ''[[Immortal/Legends|Immortal]]''.

The [[Alliance to Restore the Republic/Legends|Alliance to Restore the Republic]] had learned, during a previous operation, about the journey and, in an [[Capture of the Death Star design team|operation]] planned by [[Hamo Blastwell]], dispatched a [[BTL Y-wing starfighter/Legends|Y-wing]] from [[Red Squadron (Rebel Alliance)/Legends|Red Squadron]], flown by [[Keyan Farlander/Legends|Keyan Farlander]], two [[T-65 X-wing starfighter/Legends|X-wings]] from [[Blue Squadron (Rebel Alliance)/Legends|Blue Squadron]] and the [[Lambda-class T-4a shuttle/Legends|''Lambda''-class shuttle]] ''[[Rescue 1]]'' to capture the ''Godar'' before it reached the ''Immortal''. The Rebels hoped that their capture would slow down the completion of the Death Star.

The ''Immortal'' launched [[TIE Series|TIEs]] to assist the escorting [[Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wing/Legends|Assault Gunboats]], but the Rebel fighters were able to hold off the Imperials while Farlander disabled the ''Godar'' and ''Rescue 1'' conducted the boarding operation. After ''Rescue 1'' captured the personnel and fled into [[Hyperspace/Legends|hyperspace]], Farlander destroyed the ''Godar'' before following the other Rebels.
