'''Command Speeder 714-D''' was the model designation attributed to a modified [[LAVr QH-7 Chariot]]. Like most LAVs, the 714-D was designed for atmospheric combat and was known for its durable, armored hull plating.

In [[5 ABY/Legends|5 ABY]], members of the [[Senate Planetary Intelligence Network]] stole one of the QH-7s from [[Galactic Empire/Legends|Imperial]] forces. Under the instruction of [[Admiral/Legends|Admiral]] [[Gial Ackbar/Legends|Ackbar]] at [[Pisces Base]], technicians modified the small speeder with Ion engine repulsors and a [[Hyperdrive/Legends|hyperdrive]] system, allowing the 714-D the ability to travel through outer space for short distances.

[[Luke Skywalker/Legends|Luke Skywalker]] piloted the 714-D to the planet, [[Kessel/Legends|Kessel]], to rendezvous with [[C-3PO/Legends|C-3PO]] and [[R2-D2/Legends|R2-D2]] who had been operating on a secret [[Mission to Kessel (Trioculus affair)|mission]] for the [[New Republic/Legends|New Republic]]. After picking up the [[Droid/Legends|droids]], Luke returned the speeder to Pisces Base on the planet, [[Dac|Mon Calamari]].
