The 500-X was similar in appearance to the [[Lambda-class T-4a shuttle/Legends|''Lambda''-class T-4a shuttle]]. It was unarmed, possessed a substandard [[Navigation computer/Legends|navicomputer]], and was said to be a museum piece by [[11 ABY/Legends|11 ABY]].<ref name="JS" />

They were used by the [[Galactic Empire/Legends|Galactic Empire]], and at least one was used by the [[Doole's Defense Fleet|Kessel fleet]]. A [[Kessel/Legends|Kessel]] fleet 500-X shuttle was stolen by [[Han Solo/Legends|Han Solo]], [[Chewbacca/Legends|Chewbacca]], and [[Kyp Durron]], who escaped in it to the [[The Maw|Maw Cluster]]. When they discovered the [[Maw Installation]], they gave their shuttle the alias [[Endor (500-X shuttle)|''Endor'']].<ref name="JS" />
