Yagmar
- "FRT Sunnida and SHU Yagmar you have entered Imperial Space"
- ―Imperial
Yagmar were a pair of Lambda-class T-4a shuttle used by smugglers.
History
The shuttles arrived with three BFF-1 bulk freighters called Sunnida. When the freighters were inspected by a TIE Interceptor at a customs checkpoint, Sunnida 1 was found to contain narcotics instead of stimsticks in the other two. The shuttles turned hostile and attempted to shoot down the fighter but were instead destroyed, and Sunnida 1 was disabled and taken to an Imperial navy yard.
Legacy
The event was recorded and recreated for the Combat chamber as part of a training mission for future pilots. Maarek Stele trained on this mission.
Behind the scenes
- "FRT Sunnida and SHU Yagmar you have entered Alliance Space"
- ―Instructor
Yagmar first appears in the 1994 video game Star Wars: TIE Fighter, in the Combat chamber TIE Interceptor mission "Threat Display." The craft are yellow in the Combat Multi-view Display and are to be the first targets that become hostile. The shuttles are to be inspected to find "Smugglers" inside their cargo as part of a "Bonus" objective.
The shuttles appear again in the 1997 video game Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, in the training mission "Inspection," which is the same mission and can be played not only from the Imperials' perspective with any Imperial craft of the player's choice, such as the Assault Gunboat or the TIE Avenger, but also from the Rebels' perspective with a Rebel starfighter of the player's choice. If the player takes the Rebel version, Yagmar, instead of carrying Smugglers, will carry Imperials and can be destroyed to gain points.
