Xeron was a planet[2] located within the Xeron system, a part of the Trailing Sectors portion of the Inner Rim.[1] Xeron was the site of a battle between the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War circa 3 ABY, where the Imperial Army attacked Rebel ground troops with a new warbot to devastating effect.[2]

Behind the scenes

Xeron was first mentioned in Star Wars (1977) 47, written by Archie Goodwin and released in 1981.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Xeron system, and therefore Xeron itself, in grid square M-14.[1]
