X-Wing Rogue Squadron 1
The Rebel Opposition, Part 1 was the first issue in the Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron series of comics. It was released July 1, 1995 by Dark Horse Comics.

Wedge Antilles is a combat-hardened X-wing pilot, one of the only fliers to survive the missions against both Death Stars. After those two assignments and his post as leader of Rogue Squadron, you'd think he'd seen everything. Plot summary
Wedge Antilles and the rest of Rogue Squadron are in an intense dogfight with 12 TIE fighters. Wes Janson takes some enemy fire, and his fighter is damaged. He is forced to land by a creek, or his X-wing will explode with him still in it. Tycho Celchu tells the squadron to land on a creek bed that is west of Kidan.
