Wotan developed the Wotan Weave, a maneuver used by starfighter pilots to avoid enemy fire.
Behind the scenes
Wotan was first mentioned in the glossary of X-Wing: The Official Strategy Guide, a guide to the video game Star Wars: X-Wing, written by Rusel DeMaria, David Maxwell and David Wessman[1] and published in June 1993.[2] Wotan is the nickname of Wessman, who devised many of the strategies covered in the book.[1]
