Chewbacca celebrates Life Day with his honor family

A Wookiee honor family comprised a Wookiee's true friends and boon companions, under a special bond of friendship that joined one Wookiee with a group of other Wookiees, or even with members of other species.

Members of honor families pledged to lay down their lives for each other, and they extended this protection to the honor families of each individual member.

Chewbacca the Wookiee considered his companions Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, and the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO to be part of his honor family.
