With All These TIEs, Why Did We Win at Yavin? is a vignette written by Bill Slavicsek for the Death Star Technical Companion and later reprinted in the second edition.

Plot summary

Wedge Antilles is giving a lecture on tactics used at the Battle of Yavin to a group of new Rebel pilots when one of them asks how the Rebels were able to win against such great odds. Antilles explains that the Death Star never launched more than a single squadron under the orders of Grand Moff Tarkin. He mentions that the only squadron that engaged them was Darth Vader's personal Black Squadron, and notes that if the Death Star did launch its full complement of starfighters, the Alliance may still have won regardless.
