Voniss
- "I've seen Imperial cruisers destroyed in the Nebulas of Osssorck; fought my way through the dust storms of Voniss; stared down Dark Grahn's mercenary army; now, all I can stare down is the bottom of a bottle of cheap wine, kid."
- ―A gunfighter
Voniss was an astronomical object[3] located in the Voniss system, a part of the freestanding subsectors portion of the Mid Rim.[1] The meteorological phenomena of the celestial body included dust storms.[3]
During the Galactic Civil War, an aging yet legendary gunfighter resided in the city of Buerhoz on the[3] Outer Rim Territories'[4] planet Clak'dor VII. When a group of individuals encountered the gunfighter at Buerhoz, he claimed to have fought his way through the dust storms of Voniss.[3]
Behind the scenes
Voniss was mentioned in "A Fistful of Credits," a roleplaying game adventure written by Bill Olmesdahl and included in the 1992 supplement Star Wars Gamemaster Screen for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Voniss system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square I-7.[2]
