A vehicle mine, or anti-vehicular mine was a type of mine solely intended to target vehicles of multiple classes. Each mine was embedded with microcircuitry which allowed the weapon to differentiate between vehicles and organic creatures.[3] Once the mine detected either a metallic mass or a repulsorlift field, the mine would detonate and explode.[1] Each mine generally cost 750 credits to purchase.[2]
Behind the scenes
Anti-vehicular mines appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
