According to a legend,[2] a long time before[1] 0 BBY,[3] a planet served as the home of the Wookiee species. However, they left the planet in favor of the world of Kashyyyk,[1] located in the Mid Rim's Mytaranor sector.[4]
Wookiee records rarely mentioned the planet, and when they did, they only gave vague information, which included a suggestion that the Wookiees who came to Kashyyyk were pioneers or refugees.[2] In 0 BBY,[3] the Wookiee Attichitcuk told the story of the Wookiees' old planet to his grandson, Lumpawarrump.[1]

The planet was first mentioned in The Wookiee Storybook, a 1978 young readers book written by Eleanor Ehrhardt.[1]
