A crewman aboard the Haj Shipping Lines luxury liner Star of Empire was among a group of survivors led by Captain Hajj after the Imperial artificial intelligence known as Systems Infiltration Manager took control of the ship eleven months after the Battle of Yavin. While attempting to reach the ship's communications room, the crewman was killed when the droid M-4D0, acting under SIM's control, blasted a hole in the hull, causing the crewman to be blown into space.
