The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

Circa 5000 BBY, the Jedi Order and the Stennes Shifter species faced each other in a conflict. As Jedi Knights killed them off, the population of the Stennes Shifters fell precipitously such that, by the time of the Galactic Civil War, the species had numbers as small as a few hundred and no more than several million. The conflict also convinced the Jedi that the Shifters were a threat to be reckoned with.[1]
