Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A research facility of the Galactic Empire produced prototype TIE Series starfighter models in 1 BBY. Wedge Antilles, a pilot of the Rebel Alliance, discovered it and reported its existence to Alliance High Command. A lone BTL Y-wing starfighter was sent to obliterate it.
