Unidentified EG-6 power droid (Jabba's Palace)

The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

This EG-6 power droid was present in Jabba's Palace around 4 ABY. It was in the service of Jabba the Hutt when C-3PO and R2-D2 came to the palace as part of the rescue of Han Solo. It squealed in pain as 8D8, under the command of its supervisor droid EV-9D9, lowered a hot glowing iron on the soles of its feet.[2]

Behind the scenes

This unnamed character was known as the "Dustbin Droid" during the production of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi and was called that in the Return of the Jedi Giant Collector's Compendium. A Topps trading card called it a "Dustbin Robot."[3] Although most sources claim the power droid was portrayed by Ewok actor Kiran Shah, Callsheets instead list actress Carol Read as "Dustbin Droid", which Shah listed as "Droid (SFX)".[4] In Star Wars: Battlefront II, in the Jabba's Palace level, the droid can be heard screaming.
