Unidentified Centrality starfighter
An unidentified starfighter was in use within the region of space known as the Centrality.
Characteristics
This compact starfighter possessed a boxy fuselage reminiscent of the cockpit of an All Terrain Scout Transport,[1] flanked by vertical panels on pylons. Like the AT-ST, it had a chin-mounted cannon.[2]
History
Starfighters of this type saw use within the Centrality around the time of the Battle of ThonBoka.[2]
Behind the scenes
This starfighter appeared on the cover of the novel Lando Calrissian and the Starcave of ThonBoka. The book's text does not indicate whether these images represent the "interceptors" at Hosrel XI, a member of the ramshackle Zero Squadron of the Renatasian Confederation, or some other fighter.
This starship has frequently been conflated with the INT-4 Interceptor, a Mini-Rig toy produced by Kenner in 1982. Tim Veekhoven's Star Wars Blog post Offscreen, but Not Forgotten: Mini-Rigs, Body-Rigs, and Other Kenner Vehicles, however, revealed that the ships in this cover illustration were based on Kenner's Scout Walker cockpits rather than the INT-4.
