Training Protocol 179 or Training Protocol one-seven-nine was a training protocol used by the New Republic Starfighter Command. Used primarily on trainees that have not flown together long; a pilot earns all the kills his wingman made and vice versa. It sought to encourage cooperation among the trainees.
